Privacy Policy

Overview

Try & See is a behavioral experiments app that helps you test your predictions about worrying situations. By recording what you expect to happen and comparing it to what actually occurs, you build better intuition about what's worth worrying about. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it.

Data We Collect

• Account information — When you sign in (via email, Google, or Apple), we store your user ID and email address to identify your account.
• Predictions — The predictions you create, including your expected outcomes and the actual results you record, are stored on our servers so they sync across your devices.
• App preferences — Settings such as notification preferences and PIN lock configuration.
• Device information — Timezone and basic device type for delivering check-back reminders at the right time.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Location data
• Contacts or photos
• Browsing history
• Advertising identifiers

How We Use Your Data

• To store and display your predictions and outcomes
• To calculate your prediction accuracy statistics
• To send you check-back reminders (when your predictions are ready to review)
• To sync your data across devices

Third-Party Services

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — Used for secure sign-in. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple/Google In-App Purchases — Subscription billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We do not see your payment details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or provide your personal data or prediction content to any third parties. Your data remains private.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Predictions are associated with your user account and are not accessible to other users. Communication between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data (predictions, outcomes, statistics) from within the app. Once deleted, your data is permanently removed from our servers.

Children's Privacy

Try & See is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
